Pat Bezenar comes from a long family history of construction and carpentry dating back to his grandfather, a journeyman carpenter who immigrated to Canada from Europe in the early 1900’s. An artisan of his day, he passed his carpentry knowledge and skill, along with a meticulous eye for detail down to his son, (Pat’s father) William, who in turn passed it down to Pat. Since he was old enough to operate a hammer and use a tape measure, Pat has played an active role in the family’s construction projects. Starting with building simple sheds and fences out on the family farm, he’s been involved in several large-scale residential construction and renovation projects with his family and in his own business.
In his early professional career Pat took a different path, and developed an extensive background in business. His responsibilities have included senior roles in sales & marketing, client relations, project coordination and management for some of North America’s largest and most prestigious corporations. 7 years of Pat’s “pre-LivingScape career” involved sales and project management within the construction supply industry (plumbing and mechanical, and engineered wood building components). As well, in 1994 – still in his twenties – Pat co-founded a successful marketing and brokerage business in Kelowna, B.C. that continues to thrive today.
After having worked in the corporate world, Pat saw in himself that his true passion and his need to express his creativity could be found by returning to his roots. Following his desire to produce finished construction products of beauty that he could be proud of, Pat founded LivingScape Homes and Renovations Inc. He combined his knowledge and experience in construction and carpentry with his expertise in business to provide industry leading quality, service, and organizational processes to his valued clientele to ensure their projects go smoothly and are finished meticulously.

Maureen comes from a family steeped in the visual arts. The family history in the arts
dates back to Maureen’s grandmother, an artisan and painter of abstract
landscapes in the early 1900’s. In the subsequent generation, Maureen’s
mother, after graduating from the University of Alberta, became a teacher of
the arts for Edmonton’s public school system. While their mother taught
the various mediums as they grew up, Maureen and her sister attended regular
art and music classes.
Eventually her older sister pursued a Master’s Degree
in fine arts, and in the early 1980’s Maureen chose the path of design,
attaining her Honours Diploma of Interior Design (D.I.D.) from one of Alberta’s
leading colleges. Since then she has gained hands-on experience in many aspects
of commercial and residential design, doing stints as both on-staff consultant
as well as freelance Interior Designer. While living in various cities in Western
Canada, Maureen specialized for over 15 years in the areas of kitchens, bathrooms,
and lighting making her one of Calgary’s most qualified and experienced
designers in this field. Maureen eventually went on to managing several of Western
Canada’s leading kitchen and bath boutiques before co-founding LivingScape.
